The First Annual Session of the Taylor's Lakeside Campus Model United Nations Conference (TLCMUNC) 2010.

Dates: 30th, 31st of July and 1st of August 2010
Days: Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Venue: Taylor's Lakeside Campus
Fee: RM20

There is no minimum age requirement for our conference. Students of all age groups and from anywhere with MUN experience are most welcomed to our conference. We too welcome MUN newcomers, as we would be more than happier to instill the ways of MUN through this conference for them.









































Committees and Topics

Security Council (SC)
The Security Council is the highest organ in the United Nations framework, solely tasked with the maintenance of global peace and security, the Security Council is permanently working to maintain stability around the world. While only 15 members strong, the Security Council is an effective organ to tackle issues of great importance, although the veto power of the Permanent Five some time.

Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)
The Economic and Social Council is one of the first organs in the UN framework ever to be established. Since 1945, ECOSOC carries out its mandate to achieve higher standards of living, full employment, to greater international cultural and educational cooperation or to find solution to international economic, social health or related problems. It has 54 seats that are held by elected members of the UN to help it pursue its mandate.

Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL)
As the Fourth Committee of the General Assembly, the Committee on Special Political and Decolonization affairs (SPECPOL) is open to every member and observer at the United Nations. The Special Political and Decolonization Committee deals with a variety of subjects which include those related to decolonization, Palestinian refugees and human rights, peacekeeping, mine action, outer space, public information, atomic radiation and University for Peace.

3. Child Labour in South East Asia

*No minimum age and first timers/newcomers are very welcomed*
Those whom are from institutions which have been specifically invited, please seek your Head of Delegation to register
Those who would like to register as an individual, just e-mail us directly and we will get you signed up
Those from the Taylor's Lakeside Campus itself, register by e-mailing us directly as well.
